Constant Crashing while adding name to photo

Why does Elements 15 crash regularly while adding a name both in the Media section and also while adding names in both the Named and UnNamed sections.

Is it possible to get a refund as the product does not perform as per the product description?

Cheers Bruce Simmonds

Bruce, There are multiple threads regarding this behavior. My take is that it occurs more following very heavy face editing sessions as can be seen in task managers close to 100% memory usage. I had to deal with over 10,000 unrecognized faces, and I simply wanted to delete 95% of them. You could only do so in small batches, or you risk a crash. You get lots of warning before it occurs, faces mark slowly, screen lags, selections dont clear, etc. I restart the program before memory used gets above 90%, seems to help. Once you no longer have the indication that face recognition is going on in the lower right corner of the screen, things get better as well.

    Hi,

We're sincerely sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.

I would request you to please answer my following queries and we can together try resolving the issue:

    1. Please mention your OS.
    2. Does it rash while adding people name in all the catalogs or is it with a particular catalog. (You can try creating a small catalog and import like 100 images to it and see if it still crashes at naming)
    3. Please mention your catalog size i.e. the number of files in your catalog, in which you face crash.

    Thanks.

Hi, I am using Windows 10. I have just one catalog of 34000 photos.

Some crashes seem to happen when I am trying to add a name manually with the square box and then the circle opens over the top of the square box and the system just freezes and the system crashes.

I have not tried to use a small catalog yet.

Another problem with this Adobe product.

When I delete a photo it sometimes goes back to the beginning of the catalog, but not always.

    cheers Bruce
