convert catalog WIndows to MacOS

Question

I want to convert my old WINDOWS PSE10 catalog to my new MACOS PSE 2019. So I have two simultaneous conversions; Windows >> MacOS en PSE 10 >> PSE 2019.

Unfortunately my WIndows computer crashed , so I do not hav be a full backup of the Windows PSE10 Catalog. I do have a full copy of the PSE10 Catalog files and all photo-files on my extrenal NAS. All these files did not change location whiel replacing my WIndows-system by a MACOs computer.

I have tried the manage Ctalog option in PSE2019. But it does not find my old catalogs.

Can you help me?

Maybe I should not take the risk to answer, since I know nearly nothing about Macs and NASs...

If, as I understand:

- your media files are still on the external NAS as before

- you have a recent copy of the folder of the PSE10 catalog

There may be a solution.

I do know that the catalog file can't be stored on NASs with Macs.

So, I would simply copy the whole PSE10 catalog folder somewhere in the Mac.

You should be able to point the manage catalog option to that catalog copy and convert.

That's something you can try before Mac and/or NAS experts come to your rescue.
