copy and paste a photo to make a collage with all images the same size?

I have resized 50 photos to be 1in wide, so that I can make a collage in Photo Shop Elements 18.  Why is it when I copy the 1 in photo and paste it into another tab, it reduces the size to less than 1/2in?? I'm frustrated

    Correct answer Greg_S.

Are all the images the same resolution.  In other words, when you resized the images did you use the same measurement of pixels per inch?

Perhaps an easier way for you to do what you want, is to drag and drop images from the photo bin to your collage image file.  They will then be "smart objects" which can be scaled within the collage without losing image quality.

Ahh, I think maybe the resolutions are diff, but I did use 'process multiple files' and made them all 1" wide constrain proportions.  I ended up doing what you suggested, I manually scaled them.    Thank you for your reply.
