copy faces from one photo into another

Just getting started using Photoshop Elements and want to copy a couple of faces from one photo into another photo.

Correct answer hatstead

1. Open Picture B, the source  for face B. Use one of the selction tools to select the face. Go to Edit>copy

2. Open picture A, go to Edit>paste

3. Activate the move tool, and position B over A.

 

That is the broad outline. To have things look proper, you may have to adjust brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc.

Since you are a newcomer to Elements, you might also might want to take a look at the Photomerge Guided Edits that walk you through the process.  It's not clear exactly what you want to do with your image e.g. add people to a photo or change the face in a group shot so that everyone is smiling.  But there are several options that may fit your needs:
