Creating “New Folder” does not show up

Adobe Elements Organizer 2023 V. 21.0 in Windows 11 Pro

Creating “New Folder” does not show up in “View as tree” or “View as list” but does show up when “Reveal in Explorer” is selected. See below: All created folders appear in Explorer but only two show up on “Grid”.

I have tried “Refresh screen”, F4, “Refresh Thumbnail Cache”, “Catalog Optimization”,  “File” > “Manage Catalog”, > “Optimize” as well as “Repair”.

After creating a folder I also save the changes by selecting File > Save Metadata to File.

Yes, this is an annoying issue.  The problem is that, by default, the My Folders panel only displays folders that have photos/videos that have been imported into the catalog.  You can fix this by right-clicking on the parent folder and selecting Show All SubFolders from the context menu.  Alternatively, add a file/files to the new folder and use Import>From Files and Folders

to import the files.  The folder will then be displayed in the My Folders panel (and you will then be able to move files into that folder via drag-and-drop if that is your intention for creating a new folder).

Thank you! Both solutions worked. Mystery solved.
