Cropping

For some reason the cropping tool keeps stopping when I try to crop a picture. It won't let me drag over the area I want and is extremely touchy even when I finally get it to work and then try to enlarge or move. I just bought the current edition and was hoping for a better product. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Loraine
