Custom Paper size not printing accurately

I am on PE 2024 trying to print a test page on 12x16" paper. Since 12x16 is not listed on the dropdown menu, I have to create it in my printer software dialog box. Heres what I do:

File>print (PE dialog box)

Click on Page Setup (takes me to printer dialog box)

Click on Paper size (16x12")

Save

Now I'm back in the PE print dialog box

Under "select paper size", OTHER is selected in the dropdown box

Under Select Print Size, I click on Actual Size (16" x 12")

then i click on the print (blue button) and the 12x16" paper is loaded into my Canon printer

What comes out is a crazy sized print that is NOT 12x16., it gets cut off the page. 

Can someone help me figure out how to do this PLEASE??
