Question

Cut & move from one photo to another.

I'm using  PSE 15 which I purchased last fall.

I need to cut & paste some photos from one photo to another for a  photo directory I'm compiling.

I use the lasso tool to get the image that's to be moved.   The  "move"  tool with the Shift key.

I'm unable to make the move.   Keep getting an error message that there's a problem and PSE must be shut down & I'll be notified IF there's an answer.   Probably done this over 100 times...that's where the move ends.

What do I do?

    1. Open picture A (source) and use the lasso tool or selection brush to select the object
    2. Go to Edit>copy
    3. Open Picture B (destination), then Edit>paste. The object from A will be on a separate layer.
    4. Use the move tool to position the object from A.

    I am able to open both A & B

But...under Edit,  I'm unable to activate copy or paste

When I try to use the move tool,  I get the following messaged:

    PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 15 EDITOR

PSE  EDITOR has stopped working.   A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.   Windows will close the program & notify you of a solution is available.

    CLOSE PROGRAM

That is the same message I've been getting for multi-times

Suggest that you reset preferences to default:

Go to Edit>Preferences>General and look for this:
