Date specific import of pictures into PSE13

Question

I need to import pictures from my phone into PSE13. Is there a way in PSE in which to specify "from - to" date range when importing? (Or an app where one can do this) From a phone with 5000+ pictures it will extremely time-consuming to have to select each individual picture.

What sort of phone OS? I suspect this would be easier with Android where youu can view the phone picture library with File Explorer, and set View to Details and click on Date Created to order them. Then simply select the date range and drag to a folder on your PC

You do this with iPhone but it is not 100% reliable IME. I suggest that you import to a new folder, and then right click the selection on the phone and chose Properties, and do the same with the imported files on the computer to make sure they tally. I had a failure recently where it kept telling me that the device was not available. It turned out to be a single bad file, so I resolved it by selecting one page full at a time and moving them. When that eventually failed, I had to take smaller bites. I found that the file that was screwing things up would not open on the phone, so I wasn't losing anything.
