Deleting files from PSE13 Organizer

I have many old files that continue to show up in my PSE13 Organizer. These files aren't even on my hard drive anymore, but they keep showing up in my Organizer. When I right click on them to delete them, all of the options are "greyed out", meaning they are not available to click on.
How do I get rid of these old "ghost" files?

If those file are no longer on your drive, you should search for 'disconnected' files.

Either from the File menu or the Find menu.

All those 'missing' files should be shown with a question mark icon.

If you used the File >> Reconnect missing files, then the resulting dialog will show you a list of files. On the right of that list title, you have a small icon (3 bars) which opens a contextual menu. You first 'select all' then 'delete all'. That will delete all the files from the catalog (be patient if there are many files to delete).

Alternatively, from the 'Find' menu, Find missing files, select all (Ctrl A) and choose 'Delete'.
