Question

Dimensions for graphics pages

I'm a photographer and decided to make a PDF info book to include on my website or email to clients. I figured out how to add pages and have been working for hours on this thing. I decided to email myself a test page and I've set the size wrong or something because the pixels were so off you couldn't read any text when viewed on my laptop or even open it from my phone. What size should it be on when I start a blank doc?

include on my website or email to clients.

After you have enhanced the photo-file, flatten the image.

Go to File>save for web. In the dialog that comes up, for the file format, change the default GIF to JPEG. For Image size, make the long side = 800px or so, and leave the field for the short side blank. Put a check mark in the box for "Constrain Proportions". You can adjust the quality slider, if necessary.

Save the (Save as) file under a different name so as not to overwrite the original.

This should upload to your web site ok, and go out in e-mail without issue.

Could you explain how you add pages?

Anyway, your problem seems to be the way you create the pdf rather than your process to add files.

If you create your test pdf file and open in the free Acrobat DC (ex Acrobat Reader) on the same computer, how is the quality of your text and image details? What is the size of your pdf file in KB and the page size in pixels?

the pixels were so off you couldn't read any text when viewed on my laptop or even open it from my phone.

You don't state which is your version of Elements, but you have to know that Elements has two limits:

    - It can't create multipages pdfs, the ideal tool for that is Acrobat Pro.

    - it only creates pdfs in the 'Photoshop pdf' format, which is a file which contains both an Acrobat pdf format and a Photoshop psd format. Such a file is necessarily very big, especially if your image has layers. The good side is that it cat be opened immediately without conversion both in Photoshop / Elements or in the Acrobat DC free reader.
