Disk Full While Downloading From Card

I'm importing photos in Photoshop Elements 20 from a memory card. I got error message that disk was full and that I should free up space or stop. I chose to stop at 46 percent.

Screen is frozen. Is it safe for me to force quit from the organizer? I don't want to lose images or corrupt the card. I think I successfully ejected my memory card from the sidebar but since screen is frozen I can't see is memory icon is on screen.

Is it safe for me to force quit from the organizer? Yes.

Close organizer, then you can just yank the card out. As long as something is not being written to or read from the card , you can do whatever....
