Divide Scanned Image Help

Hey all!

Having a bit of trouble with Photoshop elements 11, I accidentally misclicked "Divide Scanned Image" which ended up merging my 4-5 layers. Now it won't let me undo the process and I've not yet saved it as it was still a sketch.

Any way to undo this? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I was very content with how the sketch was turning out and it's now very hard to differentiate the lines!

Thanks a bunch

I don't understand how Dividing a Scanned Image could end up merging layers.  If it operated on your image, it would have created some additional files.  Are you sure that your original image is not open?  What are the names of the open files?

How have you tried to undo the process?

Try opening the History Panel (Window>History or F10 in Windows).  If you still have the original image open, you should be able to step back in the History panel through your last edits.

When you use Image>Divide Scanned Photos, photoshop elements makes copies with copy in the name of your original document for the outcome.

In other words, your untouched, unmerged original should still be open and okay.

Bu that wasn't the question.  How to UNDO it.  I misclick it often and I don't feel like closing 65 files.

But that doesn’t appear to have been the question either.

@Wolgron

I've moved your post from the Photoshop forum to Photoshop Elements.
