does Photoshop Elements 2023 license ever expire?

As Jeff says, the license is permanent, but compatibility with newer operating systems can be a big issue with Macs. It seems like Apple does not allow for some legacy programs like Elements to operate for more than a couple of years. And Adobe will not update the program to be compatible with newer MacOS systems beyond a couple of years. However, this is not a problem with Microsoft. I am still able to install and use Elements 4 on a Windows 11 machine. So, 17 years of compatibility ain't bad.

Greg_S said that he was able to install PSE 4 under Windows 11 without issue. I have a PSE 7 that blows up Windows 11 because of a single file incompatibility. (I've had to re-install the OS twice.) Does anyone know if Greg had to do the file contortions with PSE 4 for it to work? I happen to own that, too, and I could always install that instead. Thanks for any thoughts.

No, however, factors such as not being compatible with future operating systems and ability/practicality of Adobe maintaining the activation servers forever contribute to how long one can actually use the software.

You shouldn't need to worry about such things for several years at least.
