Down Loading New Photos Into Organizer, Not Displaying

I've had PSE 14 on my computer since I bought it several years ago. Just this week I've had trouble with downloading photos from my camera into the organizer. The gray boxes with the hour glass in it shows up indicating the photos have downloaded but they do not display. If I click on individual photos it will display but when I go back to the organizer it goes back to the gray box with hour glass.

I have made no adjustments to the program setting and have no idea what has changed.... Any ideas?
