Downloaded elements 15 won't open on my Mac

I have just paid for and downloaded photoshop elements 15. when i try to open it comes up with this message:

You can’t open the application “PhotoshopElements_15_LS30_win64.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X.

Please can someone explain what I need to do to make this product work on my computer,

    Hi,

    You have downloaded the windows installer which doesn't work on MAC, which is why this error.

    In case you have purchased the wrong OS you can get it exchanged following the instructions mentioned here:Exchange a product for a different language or platform version

    In case you have the serial key for MAC then you can download the application from Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 and use the same serial key for activation.

    I have almost the same issue. Downloaded and installed, but won't open. I didn't purchase the wrong OS, so that's not the issue. All files are in my my system, but it won't open. Help?
