Question

dragcamera raw screen to second monitor in photoshop elements

i have a laptop and a screen attached to it. I always use the screen for photoshop as its much larger. I open my NEF raw files directly into Camera Raw. I don't think I made it do that, as its always done it

My problem is when a file is opened, it open Camera Raw on the laptop screen. There does not seem to be a method of moving it to the monitor. Its most annoying as the monitor is calibrated and the laptop screen isn't, so the images show colour differently

I would be glad to hear any suggestion that might solve this

I do believe I've found a solution:

Below:  A screenshot of my two monitors- the right side with the winter scene in the second monitor.

The  solution:

By default the ACR window has been opening up with the very top, usually white part of the window hidden.  Once I made the ACR widow a bit wider, I could grab the whit part and drag ACR over to the second window.

Once doing that it's now easy peasy for me to put ACR  on the seocnd monitor.

If you haven't done so allready you would need to change what happens when you close your laptop screen when you close the lid.

That worked. Thanks Glenn!

I do the same as you and have the same issuu. The suggestion from Glenn 8675309 does work but I think it would be annoying having to change it back each time you want to use extended display..

Do you have things set up on your laptop to duplicate screens?   Just not extend, but duplicate?

You would type in

Rearrange multiple displays

in your search box and edit those settings.
