Hi, I'm trying to do a white drop shadow. or really a light gray color one. and the lighter i try to go on the shadow the more it disapears no matter the opasity. I have it set at 100% in the style settings and as well as in the actual layer opasity slider bar. I don't know what the problem is. It's like the opasity is stuck and not working in the layer style effects. can someone help? I have elements 2022 thank you! I also am on a PC.

hello! i have a similar problem.. im trying to add a drop shadow to a vector but the shadow's color just keeps coming up kind of greyish...does anyone know what the problem might be? tried changing the color and the layer mode (multiply, normal, divide, etc) but nothing worked

this is what I have done ultamitly. I got a blur in a vibrant color and lined up a duplicate layer in white with a gaus blur added to it. It's annoying to have to do this but it's the only way to get it to what I wanted at this point. I even did a merge layer on the text so its locked together. I don't know why the drop shadow when it's not fuzzy/blurred its not always a solid color the lighter I go with the shade/color. I know there has to be some thing I'm doing wrong that's causing the issue. or something I'm not doing.
