Drucken in Elements 2023 unter Windows 11

Wenn ich unter Datei, Drucken wähle erscheint das Bild zentriert z.B auf A4 und ist mit einem blauen Rahmen umgeben. Lösche ich nun zentriert und gebe z.B. oben 2 cm ein verschwindet das Bild und es ist nur noch zentriert der blaue Rahmen sichtbar. Ich möchte aber um Papier zu sparen nicht ein 10x15 cm Bild mitten in einem A4 Blatt ausdrucken. Auf  meinem alten Laptop mit PSE 10 funktioniert die Verschiebung nach oben proglemlos. Was mache ich falsch?  Trotz grosser Geduld und Freundlichkeit konnte mir der Support nicht weiterhelfen.

When I choose File, Print, the image appears centered on e.g. A4 and is surrounded by a blue frame. If I now delete centered and enter e.g. 2 cm at the top, the image disappears and only the centered blue frame is visible. But I don't want to print a 10x15 cm picture in the middle of an A4 sheet to save paper. On my old laptop with PSE 10, shifting up works without a hitch. What am I doing wrong? Despite a lot of patience and friendliness, the support couldn't help me.

I can move the picture within the confines of the frame. My past experience is not to rely on using this modality, however. as the print output may not coincide with what you see on the monitor. 

I create a blank new file and stipulate the dimensions of the paper. If I use 4x6" paper, then I crop the picture file to 4x6". It will print perfectly on both of my Epson printers.

If I wish to place multiple photos on a large paper, e.g. 8.5x11", I crop the pictures to size so that they will fit. This provides 100% control.

I have done some further testing on my Win 11 machine and found that this behavior began with Elements13, which may have been the time that Elements became a 64-bit program.  So, since it has been around for so long, I'm not sure that it will be considered a bug.  ISTR that a similar problem was reported in Elements 2022 and was supposedly fixed in Elements 2023 but I don't remember the details (and I no longer do much printing).

I have come to terms with the fact that the move with the input at top and left no longer happens. The new programs are not always better in everything

I've just taken a look at the printer in Elements 10, and I can see the difference in behavior.  It looks like this is a bug to me.  I don't know whether this is just related to Windows 11.  @hatstead can you check on Windows 10 to see whether you can move the blue frame box on the page by entering different numbers in the boxes displayed in my screenshot below?  For me, the numbers do change when I move the blue frame manually. 

But if I enter the numbers in the position boxes manually, it is the image that moves, not the blue frame around it:

    Thanks! This somewhat cumbersome solution was also recommended to me by support. But she doesn't satisfy me. Nevertheless, thanks for the tip

    If you hover over the blue frame, the cursor should change to a four-headed arrow.  If you then click on the frame, you should be able to move the blue frame wherever you wish.

     

    As an alternative, you could create a new A4 size document in the Editor and copy and position the image into that document.

    Shortly after entering my question, I found out that I don't have to touch the picture, but the blue frame. This practically solves my problem. Many thanks for the answer

    I don't have WIN 11, am still on WIN 10.

    What happens when you print using another application?

    If you are printing via Editor, try printing via Organizer, or, vice versa. The print engines are not the same.
