Question

Earliest version of Elements for Windows 10?

I recently "upgraded" (and I use the term loosely) from Windows Vista to Windows 10 (condolences accepted).  I'd been using Elements 2 under Vista, and for the bonehead stuff I need to do, it worked just fine and was easy to follow.  Elements 2 had been a Christmas gift years ago, and I tried installing it under Windows 10, but that didn't work at all.  I don't want a 'new-and-improved' version of Elements if I can help it, and wonder what is the earliest release of Elements that can be installed under Windows 10?  Thanks!

Thanks for your answer R_.  I'd really like to know how you were able to install PSE2 on a Win10 machine; I am told in no uncertain terms at the beginning of the installation that the Adobe disc is not compatible with this OS.  I tried installing with an earlier OS emulation and was essentially told "nice try, but...".  If there's a secret, I'd love to know it.  I don't think I'm running the Creator's version yet; my OS is Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.1480).  Thanks!

Don't believe all that is told in 'no uncertain terms', especially when it's about OS compatibility.

    I no longer have PSE2 like R_Kelly, but I have versions 6, 10, 12, 14 and 15 running on the Win 10 Creator version.

If you want an almost guaranteed to work photoshop elements under windows 10, then photoshop elements 15 is the choice since it's the only version sold and supported by adobe.

You can find used versions on amazon, but it seems some users have had a lot of problems like blank or incomplete menus with older versions on windows 10.

Though some users like myself don't seem to have those issues.

I actually have pse 2 running on the latest windows 10 creators update(s) and it works fine,

The one caveat to running pse 2 is one needs to have a hard drive with less than 1 TB of frespace or pse 2 will complain the scratch disk is full.
