EDIT IN PROGRESS BAR ON PHOTO WON'T DISSAPEAR

I assume you are talking about the bar that appears in the Organizer when an Edit is in progress in the Editor.  The bar will remain until you have finished editing the photo in the Editor and closed it.  Are you saying that the bar remains  even if you close the Editor?  If so, closing and reopening the Organizer should fix it.  And if that doesn't work, reboot your computer.  Please report back if your problem is resolved.

Try resetting preferences to default, as that may fix it.

In PSE Editor, go to Edit>Preferences>General  Click on the button to reset preferences on next launch.  Close the program and reopen.
