Question

editing elements on mac 'word' the same as 'micosoft word'

Have used photoshop Elements 5 and windows 7 to add  pictures to a word 2016 (for windows) document (double click to edit  adobe photo-shop image) and it opens Elements with photo, ready for a edit. then saves it direct back to word document

I also have mac and word 2016 (for mac )

When opening same document  on the mac, that I previously constructed with 'word' windows . I get the same message ((double click to edit  adobe photo-shop image) however happens even though I have adobe photo-shop 11 on my mac

Is there anyway to get my mac machine to edit on double click, the same document as it does on windows ?

ie open Element for editing ,then save back to word document

have S/O  Sierra 10.12.6 on mac

Hi,

You can set up default application for files on MAC. Please see instructions at https://www.imore.com/how-set-mac-app-default-when-opening-file

Saving files in PSE on MAC should work similar to how it works on WIN.

Thanks,

Arshla

thanks for you help

Havent yet tried but on thing come to mind

If I set jpegs to default to photoshop,  any photo I click on will open with that program , where as i need to do that only for Word ,keeping as happens in the Windows version, greying out the selected photo and automaticly updating when I close photo shop
