Editing Problem

I have used Photoshop for years and just now it has shown an hourglass in editing rather than the photo.

Also it has placed a grid over the photo.

I have uninstalled and installed and still the same issues.

Sometimes PSE problems pop up for no apparent reason.

In many cases, it could be that the preferences file has become corrupted.

To restore this file in PSE 11 and later:  Edit>Preferences>General and click "Reset Preferences on next launch".

For earlier versions, press and hold Alt-Ctrl-Shift (Option-Command-Shift on Mac) immediately while starting PSE. The timing is critical; you may have to try this several times. A dialog box will pop up with the question "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings file?" (or similar message depending on your PSE version).  Click  YES.

    Hello,

Please post a screenshot illustrating the issue. This would help us in addressing the issue in a better manner.

Also, could you please mention the version of PSE you're using and your system's OS version?

    Thanks,

    Medha

When you ask a question you need to provide some basic information

    -Forum quick start https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-5601

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

Exactly which version of the program do you have that is causing problems, and what error message do you see?
