Hello,  Just installed Elements 2018 today, loaded pictures, and want to edit, first frame I wanted to adjust brightness which I did OK, problem is that there is no 'SAVE' or 'DONE' button that allows me to save the image. Frame still appears in catalogue with a horizontal orange band across 'edit in progress', how can I save the image which presumably will then remove the orange band?

Any advise much appreciated

You have selected a file from the organizer and opened it in the editor. You must close the edit in the editor itself by saving it before going back to the organizer.
