Editor suddenly will not load

Recently purchased 2020 Elements to run on my new iMac using Catalina. I used it a few times. Now the editor will not load. It tries for about 30 seconds and then stops trying. 
If I have to ,I could reinstall the program. But I don't know if I have to uninstall the old first and the reinstall or what. (Not sure how to remove and replace).

Im not very tech savvy and I'm brand new to iMac. Thanks for any help.
