I have pse 15 and up to just recently have been able to use all the effects....but yesterday 12/28/16, something happened and now they are blank and when i go and set them as checked on they still do not show up in the bin to the right... i get a circle cursor with the slash down thru it and the ones i had in my favorites are no longer there either.....i still am able to use layers and Graphics.... I purchased 15 off the internet and do not have a disc for it ....I need help to get the effects and favorites back....

    Maybe the content database needs to be reset.

    Go to

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\15.0

    and delete the

    ThumbDatabase.db3

    then go to

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\15.0\Locale\en_US

    and delete the

    MediaDatabase.db3

    Start the pse 15 editor and wait for the content/effects database to rebuild, which can take about 5 to 10 minutes.
