Elements 14.1 not connecting to Outlook email

Elements 14.1 has been set to share photos through Outlook email and worked just fine until a few weeks ago. Now it won't connect, all the processes for making sure its properly connected won't solve the problem, and it won't also connect to my gmail account. HELP! I am loathe to buy the Elements 15 for fear of this happening again. It seems like the program stops working more and more with these higher version numbers.
