Elements 14 can't send e-mails or connect to the internet
I have Elements 14 installed on a machine running Windows 7. I use Outlook to send e-mails. Previously I could select a photo, click "Share" and "e-mail" and it would create an e-mail that I could click on and send from Outlook. Now it will not create the e-mail to send. In addition, it will not connect to the internet. For example, if I click "Help" it says "The Adobe Help application could not load a URL because there is no internet connection." Same thing when I click
"Support" or "Forum," but when I click "Updates" it opens Adobe Applications Manager and tells me my applications are all up-to-date." I obviusly do have an internet connection since I am making post.
I have tried the remedies found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html#Troubleshoot%20connectivity%20issues
I have access to the Adobe activation servers; I get the "pong" response when I click the CSS 5.5 link; I can access secure sites; I checked the Global Sign Root CA certificate and it is enabled for all purposes; I saw no entries related to Adobe in the Hosts file; my computer's clock is correct.
What is really frustrating is the inability to send pictures via Outlook. I don't even know why Elements would need an internet connection to do that since all it is doing is creating the e-mail and Outlook is sending it.
Any ideas?
