Elements 14 or Elements 2018

Question

Hi, I am using an I mac Operating Mac os High Sierra 10.13.3. I have Nik collections as a plug in. Every time I due my first edit in the nik collection it crashes the Elements editor on either Elements 14 or Elements 2018.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can anybody advise? Thank you

On macOS High Sierra that's a known problem about Nik crashing .

Something in High Sierra was changed that doesn't agree with Nik, since even the standalone Nik versions crash when using High Sierra.

In photoshop/photoshop elements you can use the Nik Selective Tool (File>Automate>Nik Selective Tool)/(File>Automation Tools>Nik Selective Tool) or In each of the Nik plugins except HDR Efex go to the Settings>After Clicking OK and change it to apply the filtered effect to the current layer.
