Elements 14 Organiser New Place tag

When adding a new place in the tags pallet the program defaults to Google maps where you are invited to enter a place name in the search box,  a drop down list of places matching the search enquiry to which you would select the correct place location.    At this point nothing happens all that is showing is a blank screen with a small section of Google maps in the top left corner.   What is wrong?    Same on Elements 9 and same on other contacts in the UK.
