Elements 14 stopped scanning but still previews

While I was scanning some stuff this evening, images stopped showing up in Elements 14.  I would import and then choose scan.  The scanner would do it's thing but the scanned image would not show up.  To make sure that there was not a problem with my scanner, I tried the import but instead did a preview.  Image showed up during a preview.

I then uninstalled the software and reinstalled it and still got the same results.

I have been scanning things every night for the past 6 months and never had a problem.

Does anyone have any ideas? This is having a big impact on my business.

Thank you.

There was no message.  Just a blank screen.

I figured out the issue.  Whenever you scan an image it saves a .bmp version of it to the folder that I chose.  When I checked the folder, I noticed that the folder was set to Read-Only.  I have been using that folder for the past year without a problem.  I suspect that my backup software set the folder to Read-Only while it was backing up.

I changed my setting to a new folder and the images are now showing up.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Have you upgraded your PSE after which this issue begin.

What is the message you are getting on trying to import after scan, please share a screenshot.

    Share your OS details.

Please check the Scan folder, if media is getting there.

Are you able to see previous scanned images in organizer?

    Thanks,
    Shraddha
