I'm having trouble changing the brush colors. I've tried everything I could think of. Changed the type of layer changed the brush settings but they all turn out to be gray or black when I've changed it to red. Please help!

    Hi,

    If you go to the Image menu and select Mode, which mode is checked? RGB Color?

    You could try resetting the tool

    Which operating system are you running on?
