Elements 15 and RAW update [When will support for Nikon D7500 be available?]

Hi. I have used Photoshop Elements for many years, and I now have version 15. A few weeks ago I bought a new SLR, Nikon D7500. I take all my pictures in RAW format, but the Elements RAW Converter does not handle these files. When can I expect Adobe to update Photoshop Elements, so that the application handles these files?

I would expect raw support to become available in the next camera raw update. Adobe normally provides updates first to Photoshop CC and Lightroom and PSE follows shortly after.

In the meantime, if you have any software that shipped with your camera you may be able to convert NEF into tiff and then use the tiff files in PSE15. But don’t use any installed software relating to an earlier Nikon model as this can cause file corruption.

Thanks for the reply, hope it will not take too long before the update is available. Meanwhile, I've downloaded the programs from Nikon, which seems to work.

I currently have PSE 12 and learned that it does not support the RAW format for a new Lumix we just bought.  I've been trying to find out if PSE 15 supports the new Lumix.  Anyone know?  Also, I've never worked with TIFF files.  Can you perform the same adjustments to TIFF files that you can with RAW?

Also, when you say it's usually "not too long" before Adobe comes out with the latest RAW update; what constitutes "not too long"?
