Elements 15 Organizer .cr2 thumbnail display only, question mark on open.

Question

Not sure what I'm missing and hope it it something simple. I can see thumbnails of the .cr2 RAW files, but when I open them all I see is a question mark. Stranger still I can see and edit them in the Elements Editor.

Camera: Canon 6D

OS: macOS 10.12

Elements: Core Version: 15.0 (20161208.m.100202)

That looks like an Apple bug found with Mac 5k displays.
