Elements 15 Organizer stops responding when accessing network share

I have a new PC with Windows 10 and recently bought Elements 15 from the Microsoft Store.  I have tried repeatedly to get Organizer to import my photos which are stored on my QNAP NAS. Whenever I try to access my files, Organizer will start but inevitable it will freeze and cause the Windows Explorer process to stop responding.  Worst case scenario, I have to forcibly turn off the PC because I cannot even perform a standard shut down.

    Hi,

    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are facing.

    Import from NAS drive in Windows App Store version of Elements 15 is a known issue at the OS end, the fix to which would be provided by the Microsoft.

    We are working with them on it and shall let you know when the fix is available.

    Is there an ETA for the fix?  Will the fix be released to Insiders first, e.g. should I setup a PC with Elements 15 to get a fast ring update so I can test? 

    I paid good money for this application back in December and I cannot use it.
