Elements 15 problem

All of the photos on my PC are opening in Elements 15. Even the ones I edited in Corel years ago. I did not upload all photos to the organizer. After editing and saving in jpeg, the photos still open in Elements editor. Is this normal? I can't find any answers in any of the forums or in a Google search.
