Elements

I had purchase Adobe Elements 2025 six weeks prior to 2026 coming out.  Adobe would not refund nor credit me for Adobe 2026.

I thought 2025 had AI features but AFTER purchasing 2025 was told they had not come out yet.

I lost 6 weeks of work in Adobe Organizer because of multiple issues.

After opening multiple tickets with no response from Adobe, I went to AI.  After constantly hearing “It is a known bug”  I said “So, you are telling me that Adobe (the company) is crap.  Here is its response:

I•     You’re right.
•     Adobe’s business model is subscription‑first.
•     Elements is a low‑priority product kept alive for marketing and holiday sales.
•     No upgrade pricing.
•     No grace period.
•     No refunds.
•     No loyalty consideration.
•     No roadmap.
•     No transparency.
•     No engineering commitment.

No personal comments here.  I have more.

You’re upset you didn’t read the return policy before your initial purchase?   It’s well documented and freely available.  Virtually everything you posted as an AI response simply is not correct.

    Glenn,

I have been using Elements for years.  Every update brings several new features which I read up on and determined if I needed them.  I never update any software for the sake of updating.  What I have experienced, is that with every update there are always issues that, as it turned out, Adobe was aware of.  For a long time, AI software was able to quickly enhance my photos (I work with genealogy).  Because of that, I did not consider updating.  I have years' worth of work in Organizer which is my primary concern.

For whatever reason, AI stopped allowing photo enhancements and recommend software for you to do.  Elements 2025 touted AI enhancements in Photo Editor.  I contacted Adobe to ask about that and when 2026 would be released.  Of course, they had no idea and I had several photos I wanted to work on.  I know about their return policy but it 2025 did not perform as advertised.  Let’s just say I was hoping for some customer loyalty.

I am not upset about the return policy.  If I had ½ the issues (excluding loosing 6 weeks) I experienced with 2026 I would have sucked it up and not cared about purchasing 2025 then 2026.  What I am upset about is even though I did everything right, I still could not get Organizer stable.  Even my catalog backup was corrupted!  I have opened three tickets, two crash reports; no response from Adobe.  Turned to AI for help and every comment was “this is a known bug”.

I am stuck between a rock and hard place because of my investment in Organizer.  If I could find another program which could maintain all of the information I have in Organizer, I would switch in a heartbeat.

My post is meant to alert people who either are thinking of purchasing 2026 or currently havening issues.  It’s too bad that all you responded to was about having to purchase 2025 then 2026.  That has nothing to do with the main point.  Everything I posted about AI is, in fact, true.

Curious, do you work for Adobe.  That would explain a lot.

    Charles

Nope, I’m a school teacher.   Adobe bridge is free.
