Elements 17 ( 2019) - I somehow lost my catalog when trying to incrementally update it.

I tried to incrementally update my catalog and somehow I lost all photos when I open elements. I tried to restore the catalog but Elements wants me to find a .tly file. I searched my hard drive and couldn't find one. How can I get back my photos and albums? I am using Windows 11.

Sorry I took so long to reply. I have Elements 2019 which is Elements version #17. To find the key catalog file to restore all photos - I used File Explorer to find the file catalog.pse17db. Then double clicking on the found file opens up Elements with all the photos available in the found catalog. I believe you would substitute the appropriate version # in lieu of the "17" used above.
