Elements 18 [Elements 18 does not allow me to save file from .003 & on]

I've always saved my files in order of .001, .002, .003 & so on as psd & jpeg with all previous versions of PSE.

Elements 18 does not allow me to save file from .003 & on, all I get is a blank saved file whether its psd or jpeg, anyone else experience this.
