Elements 2018 - Deleting photo from Organizer Jumps to First Photo

Hi all.  I just upgraded from Elements 12 to 2018.    When I view one photo in Organizer media view (Zoom slider all the way to the right) and then delete that photo (pressing delete and confirmed to delete from HD), Organizer jumps down to the first ever photo in my catalog or batch if I just imported photos.  So, then I have to scroll up to get back to the most recent.   This gets to be really annoying...really quickly.  It should just jump to the next photo in chronological order when one is deleted in this view.

I had this same issue in v12 but fixed it somehow.  Now, I can't remember what that fix was.  I have searched online but have come up empty.

Thanks in advance for assistance.

The fix is probably to assign a keyword like 'tobedeleted' to all the files you want to delete and after the editing session, you select those files and delete them all at the same time. You can also 'hide' the photos, and after the editing session, show only hidden files, select them and delete them all.
