Elements 2018, edited photos from RAW to jpeg are grainy

Recently purchased Elements 2018, had difficulty installing it, requiring Geek Squad help.  RAW editing seems okay, but the some of the  saved to jpeg photos,esp closeups, are very grainy!  Need help figuring out what is wrong?
