Elements 2018 Expert Mode

Hi,

I have just installed Photoshop Elements 2018.

The buttons to choose which mode I want to work in do not appear at the top of the screen so I cannot choose to work in Expert mode.

How do I get these buttons to appear or how do I get into Expert mode?

Can you post a screenshot of your whole screen?

I got it working. For some reason, it took a little while for the interface's graphics to populate. Weird. I have the Expert mode up and running now. Thanks!

I'm in the Editor window. To the right of the "Open" drop-down menu, there in only black - no buttons.
