Elements 2018 Organizer closes seconds after opening, started after Windows 10 update

I've been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 since January, a new install on a new laptop computer, HP Envy i7, running Windows 10 Home version.  A few months ago April/May, not exactly sure of the date, my Windows had an update, a frequent occurrence, and since that time when I open Elements 2018 Organizer it will fully open, find my photos but then just a few seconds later it closes, no errors, no messages at all, it's as though the "close" icon was pressed.  Elements 2018 Editor works fine, I can open a photo anywhere on my laptop, edit and save my work.

I saw different forums that mentioned memory issues and recommended editing the registry, I tried this with no change in my issue, no better, no worse.
