Elements 2018 Sound Issue
I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone might have answers to or has previously experienced. I did a search of the forums, but could not find anything specific to Elements 2018 related to my issue. I am using Premier Elements 2018 for video editing, and when I import video from an external HD video camera (specifically, a Sony HDR-CX440) I cannot hear any of the audio. In addition, the video plays in slow motion. The video can be edited and exported as HD and plays at regular speed with sound. I'm not sure if this is related to a software setting, camera setting, or both.
I am editing with a Dell Latitude Intel Core I7 64-bit machine, NVIDiA GeForce graphics card with Windows 10 and the most current updates. Audio hardware is Realtek drivers set to MME in Elements, but both input and output display as not working (hence, the no sound). Setting the audio hardware to ASIO causes Elements to freeze. I have also reinstalled Elements to no avail. The only thing I have yet to try is to reinstall Elements without installing the recent RAW video support update.
Any information, tips, tricks, etc. would be greatly appreciated. At this point, it is more of an annoyance than anything else. But, obviously, I would like to get the full use out of the software.
