elements 2018 stoped working

Hi cant copy layers and its all grey every option almost. What has happend? I cant do cmd+J either to copy layer

What type of image file is it? Could it be indexed color or some other mode?

From the menu go to: Image >> Mode

Choose RGB Color

Let us know if that makes a difference.
