Elements 2021

I was previously using 2019 version. All was fine. I decided to upgrade. The 2021 version by comparison is now so slow. It seems to have to connect to the internet site before you can open the Photo Editor. What is going on here Adobe?  Why have you changed it in this way? Very disappointing!!!
