Elements 2021 copy/paste problem

Not sure what's happening but whenever I try and copy from Elements Organizer and right-click to paste anywhere else in my computer I get the Windows spinning circle for about 30-40 seconds before the right-click menu appears. Even copying will cause Elements to freeze for the same amount of time. The program behaves like it's working very hard to do a very simple task. Task manager reports that the program is utilizing up to 10% of the processor and is in "very high" power usage.

Anyone have any suggestions on what's going on?
