Elements 2021 not working after install

Just installed new Adobe Elements 2021 (Windows download) on a new HP OMEN 25L running Windows 10. Started the program after install, selected Organizer from the home screen, Organizer loaded but will not work. The File command box on the command bar highlights when scrolling over it, but clicking on it does not bring up the command list, it only reduces or enlarges the window. Can only close the program using the Task Manager. Unsure whether I should delete & reinstall. What next?

Hi Jim,

 

Do you have your Windows Taskbar set to auto-hide?

 

If so, try turning it off by going to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and it's the "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" option.

 

It might seem a strange solution but one that's documented here:
