Elements 2022 quit working

I have Elements 2022 on a PC upgraded to Windows 11 a month ago. Suddenly nothing works. When I right click on a photo and tell it to open with Elements-nothing happens. NOTHING. When I go into my programs and select Elements it presents the start screen for Elements 2023-I still have 2022 and don't even have a trial version of 2023. When I try to play around with it and tell it to open a workspace-nothing happens. I am stumped.

If you left Elements 2022 installed while you upgraded to Windows 11, you need to uninstall and reinstall the program.  Choose the option to delete all preference files (which will pop up when you uninstall Elements).

 

I have no idea how you could possibly have a Start Screen for Elements 2023, unless you installed that program somehow.  If you go to the Start Menu, does Elements 2023 appear there?  Go to the Control Panel to uninstall it.
