Elements 2023

When i try to open a raw file from my Nikon D7500 into the raw converter, in Elements 2023, the screen freezes and the only way out is to press CTRL.ALT.DEL. Converting the same image to Adobe DNG will open fine. I don't wont to go down the route of having to change all my raw files to DNG's to edit my images.

Can you attach a sample raw file here? 

How are you opening the file - from the Organizer or via File>Open?

Do you have any other raw photo software installed such as the Nikon editing application?

You may want to do a complete uninstall of Elements (and delete preferences when prompted to do so) and install again.
